ASSIGNMENT
Now it is time to Introduce Yourself with Animoto!
Introduce yourself to the class by picking six words or short phrases that describe you and then choose pictures that illustrate the words you’ve chosen. Use these to create an Animoto video that will be shared with the class.
Step 1:
On the paper provided, write down 6 words or short phrases that describe you.
Step 2:
Go to Creative Commons and choose pictures that illustrate the words you've chosen
Make a folder on your desktop and place your pictures in the folder.
Make sure you also paste your credits on a word document. You will need credits for each image you use.
Make sure you have at least 20 images.
Step 3:
Go to Animoto and create your video
You should include at least 8 Title slides
First Slide-Title Slide. This should include your first name and a creative title for the video
Another 6 title Slides-each with one of the six words or short phrases that describe you
Closing title (closing thought, summation, sign-off, etc.), Credits title (source for music-which will be Animoto, photos-)
Step 4:
Add your pictures and music
Music: Needs to be taken from Animoto
Your projects should be at least 30 seconds but not longer than 2 minutes.
Pictures should be reflect the words you selected to describe yourself.
Important: Animoto matches the pictures to the music. Fewer pictures with a longer piece of music means the pictures will cycle slower and the video will end when the pictures run out even if there is more music left in the selection. More pictures will cycle faster and will tend to use the entire music selection to its end
Step 5:
Be prepared to share your video in class
Be prepared to offer comments/suggestions on classmates videos.
Extra Credit
Include a video clip within your Animoto video. (Must relate to the topic!) Video clip must come from Creative Commons.
